Judo throws

07 of December 2009

This month’s focus will be on judo throws.  Judo has many applications for BJJ training, and shouldn’t be neglected as a part of every student’s training regimen.  We will focus on high percentage, low risk throws for the month of December!

No-gi November

31 of October 2009

November is no-gi month at Revolution BJJ. Bring a great training attitude and an open mind with you to class, but don’t bring your gi!

Appropriate attire:  board shorts and a rashguard or form-fitting T-shirt are recommended (gi pants are acceptable).  If you need help figuring out where to order stuff, talk to Andrew.

Sweeps!

10 of October 2009

The focus for October will be sweeps: reversals from the guard (bottom to top).  X-guard, De la Riva, half guard, closed guard, and spider guard will all be included.
