Kids’ Kickboxing!

11 of February 2013

Revolution BJJ’s newest program for kids age 4 and up:  kids’ kickboxing!  Not only does this program emphasize discipline, respect, and excellent martial arts form above all else; Muay Thai kickboxing is an extremely effective self defense system!  To come in and check out a class, just contact us here!

Not sure kids’ kickboxing is right for your child?  Schedule an appointment to try a children’s Brazilian Jiu Jitsu class instead, or even try both!

Here it is:  our proven 8 week introductory program for Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, only $59 for the whole 8 week session!  You must be a new student to Revolution BJJ to take this course.  The class is designed to be an excellent overview of the underlying concepts of BJJ.

Classes will meet at 5:30 PM on Mondays and Wednesdays. The lesson on Monday will be repeated on Wednesday, so if you can make it to both days, you’ll be able to get a second look at the same basic lesson.  If you can’t make it one day, you won’t be behind for the next week!

Best of all- you don’t need any equipment to get started! All of the classes are no-gi classes (no uniform required- shorts and a T-shirt are fine).

This class is only $59. Sign up here for more info or to reserve your spot.  The BJJ Intro Program fill up quickly, so sign up today to reserve your spot!!

A lot of very evenly matched fights are settled with the element of surprise- a technique that seems to come out of nowhere.  But these unorthodox Thai Boxing techniques aren’t invented on the fly; they’re trained at the gym just like the standard ones.  Learn techniques that can give you that extra edge during Tuesday and Thursday Muay Thai classes at Revolution BJJ during the entire month!  Remember, several fighters are getting ready for the WKA Trials in March, so there will be some intense training going on as well during these classes.

Interested in getting started?  Touch base with us here to talk to one of our representatives right away!

All BJJ classes in January 2013 will focus on half guard, one of the most common positions in all of grappling.  Learn the true fundamentals of this position from both top and bottom, and more advanced variations that lead to sweeps, back takes, guard recoveries, and submissions.  Remember that Mondays and Wednesdays at 5:30 PM are reserved for our 8 week intro program, but all other classes will be half guard themed!

Check out our full updated schedule here.

All of the Muay Thai classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays for the month of January will cover boxing techniques.  Boxing is a fundamental part of a modern Thai boxing game.  We’ll cover basic combinations, footwork, head movement, and other crucial concepts to develop your boxing and Muay Thai game to its fullest potential!

Mondays and Wednesdays will continue as intro level classes, with our 8 week intro program running full speed ahead!
