Kimura month continues!

The focus on the Kimura submission continues at Revolution BJJ this month. We’re getting into some very advanced setups and transitions, so don’t miss a class.

Read the Wikipedia page about Masahiko Kimura and learn a little of the history behind the development of this powerful technique.

Revolution BJJ’s students contributed 3 gold medals and two silvers to BJJ Revolution’s team points to win the team title by one point!  Dax Estep had a great day, winning his weight division in both men’s and 30+, and Bjorn Song took 1st in the men’s 139 division.  Brian Linzy added a silver to put BJJ Revolution over the top at the end of the day.

U.S. Grappling ran a very efficient local tournament. Check out BJJ Revolution instructor Trey Martin’s brown belt match from the event:

Finally, open mat training at the gym was really fun today. I spent the last 18 minutes doing a super long no-gi round with my purple belt, Vince. It was really productive, and made me look forward to the no-gi Pan Ams in October. Can’t wait.
